Replacement may not solve your recurrent error if the sensor was not the cause of the problem in the first place. I am scare to break it, lol. I replaced the Evaporative Cansiter Bypass Valve located in a protective 2-piece plastic cover on my 1999 Honda Accord V6 and can not locate a vacuum line for the 3-way joint. Very problematic to Malibu, Grand Am Cavaliers and Aleros. I have read someplace, that generic sensors do not work well. You could be in luck. It can be basically anything. My son bought this 2000 civic a year ago and have been trying to figure out this dreaded p1457 evap canister code for quit a while now.

Edit: The board looked pretty good. Two month ago, I had a problem with my car check engine code P1457. The code is for the tank side, and I don't want you chasing a ghost. Instead of spending money of a repair test, i rather just start replacing valve by valve until the p1456 erases. I am going by process of elimination.
